What does treatment include?

Consultation

Initially, Dr. Sims will evaluate your gums, jaw joint, and the positioning of your teeth. He will discuss your orthodontic needs and gather input from you; if necessary, he will suggest that diagnostic x-rays, photographs, and impressions be taken. Once we determine the best treatment for you, Dr. Sims will explain the procedure, cost, time, and care necessary for success.

Treatment

This isn’t “one size fits all” treatment; each patient has different health needs and aesthetic goals. You will experience individualized treatment within a time frame that will best solve your needs and achieve your goals.

Follow-Up

Treatment doesn’t end when the appliances are removed. You may have to wear a retainer until bones grow to hold your teeth in their new positions. Checkups continue throughout this process.
